Then I encourage you to take the next 2 minutes to read on.

Improving Your Weight Loss

1. How to eat mindfully. So often we eat on the run or just pop food in our mouth with hardly a conscious thought. This leads to dieting sabotage and hundreds of unwanted calories during the day. The secret to stopping this behavior is to eat mindfully and a great trick to help you out is what I call eating with all 5 of your senses.

The next time you have food in front of you pause long enough to really look at it and notice the aroma that comes from it, now you can put it in your mouth but take a moment to listen for a crunch and feel the texture of the food inside your mouth and finally taste it. That's it you are now a mindful eater.

2. Slow down. Eat your meal slower and you will be filled up on less food. To train yourself be sure to chew the food well and then swallow everything in your mouth before picking up your fork for the next bite.

3. Nutritional timing. This is really defined as working with your body to give it what it needs when it needs it. In the morning and early afternoon your energy is high so your body does well with foods that supply quick energy, i.e. carbohydrates. However in the evenings you do not need as much energy so carbohydrates that you eat late in the day are more likely to be stored as fat. Moral of the story...eat carbs early and limit them later in the day.

There are many ways of improving your weight loss and the key is to pay attention to how you eat the foods you choose.
